Authorities search for Lithuanian rower Aurimas Mockus off the Queensland coast after emergency alert

A search and rescue operation is underway for a Lithuanian man attempting to row from San Diego to Brisbane caught up in Tropical Cyclone Alfred off the Queensland coast.

Authorities received an emergency alert on Friday night from Aurimas Mockus, who started his quest to row across the Pacific Ocean solo in August.
